At the time, Husker bowling was still competing as a club program, years before becoming a varsity sport and well before the NCAA began sponsoring women’s bowling. Nebraska would go on to become one of the most successful programs in collegiate bowling history.

The trophy features a silver tone bowler figure at the top, tall sculptural wood supports, a central cup and column, and a broad presentation base. Its scale and unusual construction make it a striking piece from the formative years of Nebraska women’s bowling.

Take Home

1988 National Collegiate Women’s Bowling trophy

Dates to Nebraska Bowling’s club era

Predates Nebraska’s varsity and NCAA bowling programs

Large wood and metal competition trophy with bowler figure
